Duct Blinds

Duct blinds are used to seal the ends of steel or concrete sleeve for a pipeline in order to avoid any earth mud and water accumulation between sleeve and pipeline.

Duct blinds are particularly recommended at road, path and railway crossings and the like.

We offer two types of duct blinds:

  • Blinds molded by seamless vulcanization.
  • Blinds fabricated from a rubber sheet.

ON type blinds

ON type blinds are used for fixed pipeline and sleeve diameters and they are available in variants with 1, 2, or 3 folds allowing the compensation of the difference in pipeline/sleeve colinearity.

ONV type blinds

ONV type blinds are used for variable pipeline diameters and invariable sleeve diameters. They have a conical shape to match the pipeline diameter after being cut.

The blind ensures an optimal sealing of the annular space between pipeline and sleeve by means of two O-rings.

MN and MN3 type blinds

The MN & MN3 blinds have a conical shape cut from a 2-3mm thick CR rubber sheet and they are adhered by vulcanization.

MNO type blinds

The MNO blinds are precut to a conical shape from a 2mm thick CR rubber sheet and they can be adhered on site by cold vulcanization on the chamfered edges.

These blinds can be installed on pipelines already mounted or in place.

They are supplied with an adhesive set.
